UFC 276 | Prelim Preview
Saturday, July 2nd (10:00 PM EST Main Card, 8:00 PM EST Prelims, 6:00 PM EST Early Prelims)
Brad Riddell vs. Jalin Turner
WATCH - Turner had a rough start to his UFC career but his last 4 fights have been tremendous performances and he appears to be on a rocketship to the top of the lightweight division. He’s shown a lot of improvement thus far and at only 27 has a lot of time to continue to grow. Standing in his way is #14 Riddell who will be desperate for a rebound after recently suffering his first loss in the UFC. Lightweight is a division of killers and hot prospects get cycled out faster than you can blink.
Jim Miller vs. Donald Cerrone
WATCH - Good on Jim Miller for still being an exciting journeyman after one million fights in the UFC. But that being said, this should probably still be a retirement fight for both these guys. Especially for Cowboy, who has almost as many UFC fights but seems to be a lot more crippled from all the collective damage he’s taken over the years.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ +165 (better than -121.3)
Ian Garry vs. Gabe Green
WATCH - Everyone’s favorite prospect to root against, Ian Garry thinks he’s the next McGregor because he’s Irish and touts his undefeated record like he’s fought anyone of merit. Well Gabe Green is the first fighter Garry’s ever been up against that isn’t a literal can of tomatoes, so we’re all about to find out how long we have to endure his awful post-fight interviews. But if you’re a contrarian and love social media meltdowns, an Ian Garry KO would be a fun and chaotic, yet almost definitely short-lived hype train.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ -115 (better than -133.1)
Brad Tavares vs. Dricus Du Plessis
WATCH - These prelims are just as stacked as the main card! #12 Brad Tavares is a long-running staple of the middleweight rankings who seemingly is incapable of defeat whenever he inevitably is forced to fight down against an unranked opponent. He is the very definition of a rankings gatekeeper and incredibly predictive of whether a fighter will have longevity at the top. This is the all important test for Dricus Du Plessis, whose flashy victories have made him popular with the fans, but he’s still too green to crown yet.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Does Not Go The Distance 1u @ -135 (better than -144.6)
Uriah Hall vs. Andre Muniz
WATCH - I love the UFC punishing #9 Uriah Do Nothing Hall by sticking him on the early prelims, but #13 Muniz is a force to be reckoned with and a dark-horse in this division. I mean how often do you see people with the grappling skills to pull off armbar submissions against top fighters. It’s very rare in men’s MMA and speaks volumes to how advanced his BJJ is and how terrible the grappling is at middleweight.
Jessica Eye vs. Maycee Barber
BATHROOM BREAK - This card is too good to burn yourself out on a Jessica Eye fight.
Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Julija Stoliarenko
BATHROOM BREAK - Spike Carlyle gets cut after going 1-2 but Julija Stoliarenko gets the opportunity to go 0-5 in her UFC career. By the way, since getting cut from the UFC Spike Carlyle has won 5 straight fights all by finish in 5 different promotions including LFA, Cage Warriors, Bellator, and Rizin. Talk about a fighter who deserves a second chance to compete with the best! Go watch those highlights instead of wasting your time on this garbage.
MMAalgo Bet - Julija Stoliarenko 3.5u @ +155 (better than -121.0)
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ -200 (better than -263.4)
