UFC 281 | Prelim Preview
Saturday, November 12th (10:00 PM EST Main Card, 8:00 PM EST Prelims, 6:00 PM EST Early Prelims)
Brad Riddell vs. Renato Moicano
WATCH - Takes a long stretch of perfection to reach the lightweight rankings, and only one mistake to knock you out. Hate to overuse the term crossroads but both of these guys need to win their way back into the rankings quick or it’s journeyman for life.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ +110 (better than -127.7)
Dominick Reyes vs. Ryan Spann
WATCH - You know a card is incredible when a fight this good is on the prelims. #7 Reyes has gotten smashed twice in a row since he was robbed of the belt in his would’ve been upset win over Jon Jones. But with more recovery here than he has been awarded in a while (over a year and a half off) he might finally be ready to re-right the ship. But there’s no slipping in this one. #12 Spann doesn’t always beat his fellow ranked light heavyweights, but when he does he does so viciously!
MMAalgo Bet - Ryan Spann 3.5u @ +175 (better than -138.0)
Erin Blanchfield vs. Molly McCann
WATCH - #15 Meatball Molly McCann is a woman of the people and has found magic in her last couple fights with a streak of finish wins. Her popularity is at an all time high from her friendship with Paddy. But now we’re about to see if there are any legs to this hype train as she’s been given a ranking and a ranked opponent. 23 year old #12 Blanchfield is undefeated in the UFC and certainly no lamb to the slaughter.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ -175 (better than -241.0)
Andre Petroski vs. Wellington Turman
WATCH - 3 wins in a row by finish is not surprising for Petroski if you’ve been paying attention. Probably the best prospect to come through The Ultimate Fighter in at least half a decade and his loss in the semi-finals was shocking considering how much of a favorite he was. His wrestling looks unstoppable against other middleweight prospects. Turman barely scraped by his last two wins against the bottom of the barrel aging fighters so it’s going to be a big ask for him to match Petroski in this one.
Matt Frevola vs. Ottman Azaitar
WATCH - Azaitar is undefeated (allegedly) with 12/13 career fights by finish. But is coming off 3 years of inactivity from his failed attempt to smuggle steroids (allegedly) into his hotel the night before he would’ve gotten a chance to fight on a McGregor card. There’s nothing more aggravating than a fighter who beats himself before his opponents get the chance.
MMAalgo Bet - Matt Frevola 3.5u @ +105 (better than -124.2)
Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Silvana Gomez Juarez
BATHROOM BREAK - Time for a break from an otherwise perfect card. The question for this one is does each of their last fights ending with them finishing their opponents mean anything or is this destined to be a reversion to the mean?
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Does Not Go The Distance 1u @ -110 (better than -114.4)
Michael Trizano vs. SeungWoo Choi
BATHROOM BREAK - Two always game featherweights but an irrelevant fight nonetheless.
Julio Arce vs. Montel Jackson
WATCH - Nothing delivers quite like bantamweights on the early prelims!
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Does Not Go The Distance 1u @ +110 (better than -138.3)
Carlos Ulberg vs. Nicolae Negumereanu
WATCH - These guys have turned the tides since their debut defeats and continue to impress. Could they be future contenders at light heavyweight or is it simply easier to build up a streak when you start from the very bottom?
MMAalgo Bet - Nicolae Negumereanu 3.5u @ +110 (better than -161.6)
