UFC 287 | Main Card Preview
Saturday, April 8th (10:00 PM EST Main Card, 8:00 PM EST Prelims, 6:00 PM EST Early Prelims)
Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya
WATCH - There is no hero and there is no villain. There is nothing but guaranteed violence, and the intense amount of pain that Israel Adesanya will feel if losing to Alex Pereira a 4th time is what defines his legacy forever.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Does Not Go The Distance 1u @ -128 (better than -150.0)
Gilbert Burns vs. Jorge Masvidal
WATCH - Would be really worried about #11 Jorge Masvidal getting an underserved and guaranteed boring title shot… if he actually had a chance of getting past #5 Gilbert Burns, who is transitioning into a veteran gatekeeper. Also wow are these guys 3-4 years older than you’d expect. It’s time for Masvidal to hang it up and for some new blood to make its way up the welterweight rankings. Hopefully Burns performance guarantees that happens.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ +130 (better than -118.0)
Rob Font vs. Adrian Yanez
WATCH - The young eat the old, and at 35 coming off 2-losses in the super young bantamweight division, #6 Font is looking ancient. #12 Meanwhile Yanez is undefeated in the UFC with a 100% bonus ratio through 5 fights, which rivals the bonus streaks of UFC entertainment icons like Justin Gaethje and Khamzat Chimaev. But before we get ahead of ourselves, taking on #6 after never having faced a ranked opponent before runs a massive risk of getting leveled.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ -110 (better than -126.0)
Kevin Holland vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio
WATCH - Kevin Holland gets a lot more attention than his record would suggest and that is due to his fun style, quirky personality, and most importantly his insane activity. Not a lot of people would guess he now has as many UFC fights as Ponzinibbio. But the unfortunate thing about fighting this often is everyone finds out very quickly how truly good you really are. And the answer for Holland is somewhere between just outside the top 10 and just outside the rankings. These two both have a long history of bonus victories and entertaining defeats, and are guaranteed to put on a show as long as they aren’t wrestled (something they won’t have to worry about against eachother).
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Goes The Distance 1u @ +106 (better than -110.4)
Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Christian Rodriguez
WATCH - He’s so young it makes you feel a little guilty for watching. He’s so young it makes his 25 year old opponent look like a washed up veteran of the sport. But Rosas did it once, can he do it again and shock the world on how great someone that insanely young can be?
