UFC Paris | Prelim Preview
Saturday, September 3rd (3:00 PM EST Main Card, 12:00 PM EST Prelims)
Abus Magomedov vs. Dustin Stoltzfus
BATHROOM BREAK - The Magomedovs keep coming and they won't stop coming.
Fares Ziam vs. Michal Figlak
WATCH - Not sure what to make of Figlak and his ability to gain some traction in the UFC. On the one hand he's undefeated, but on the other hand his wins are mostly decisions. On the one hand he's a cage warriors guy, but on the other hand he isn't British. At only 26 years of age, time will tell what kind of UFC prospect he is going to be.
Nassourdine Imavov vs. Joaquin Buckley
WATCH - We usually judge main cards by how many high quality fights there are. And determine whether a fight is high quality based on whether the fighters are ranked, or if they are on a rocket ship to the rankings, or if they are a former great or insanely popular journeyman. If we saw that this fight was on the main card, our count for this fight night would go from 2 to 3. But instead, this ranked middleweight fight finds itself hidden in the middle of the prelims, on a card that is so early in the day for most Americans that very few people will watch it. The #12 ferocious dagestani Imavov takes on the highlight reel master and KO of the year holder Buckley in the most disrespectful card placement we have seen in a long time!
MMAalgo Bet - Joaquin Buckley 3.5u @ +210 (better than -117.1)
Benoit Saint Denis vs. Gabriel Miranda
WATCH - Benoit may not be a future champ, but he's a man of extreme violence and will be certain to put on a show for his home crowd here in France.
Khalid Taha vs. Cristian Quinonez
BATHROOM BREAK - Too many lightweight and featherweight fights on this card to justify watching a bantamweight fight this awful. The little guys are more than covered later on in the day.
Stephanie Egger vs. Ailin Perez
BATHROOM BREAK - Too early of a card to justify watching a fight this inevitably boring.
