UFC Vegas 60 | Main Card Preview
Saturday, September 17th (7:00 PM EST Main Card, 4:00 PM EST Prelims)
Cory Sandhagen vs. Song Yadong
WATCH - Feels like yesterday that #4 Sandhagen was plowing his way to the top. Crushing every vet in his path on his trip to a title shot. But things change quickly in this game, and now for the first time in his career, Sandhagen will play the role of the old-timer as he looks to gate-keep the new up and coming prospect. #10 Song Yadong has been around for a bit, but he's only 24 years old making Sandhagen's 30 years of age seem ancient. And with that youthfulness, Yadong has been able to improve each fight and progress from an exciting journeyman to an absolute banger top contender. The circle of life comes fast in this game, especially at 135 pounds.
FGTDalgo Bet - Fight Does Not Go The Distance 1u @ +110 (better than -145.9)
Chidi Njokuani vs. Gregory Rodrigues
WATCH - One of the most violent redemption arcs you will see in this sport. Njokuani was a Bellator bust. But 4 KO/TKOs later and he's not only smashed through LFA and DWCS but also has 2 performance of the night bonuses in the UFC. Rodrigues's first shot at the big leagues was a 1st round KO loss on DWCS to one of the worst fighters in UFC history, Jordan Williams. But 4 KO victories later and he too has ripped through LFA and 2 UFC bonuses of his own. Too old to be prospects, but just the right age to leave a corpse in the ring trying to chase their dream.
MMAalgo Bet - Gregory Rodrigues 3.5u @ +105 (better than -144.6)
Andre Fili vs. Bill Algeo
WATCH - Bill Algeo may be the most fun unranked featherweight and Andre Fili should serve as a relatively easy stepping stone as he crawls closer to a ranked opponent. Or Fili wins, derails Algeo's progression and prolongs his pointless UFC career. It's anybody's guess who we're rooting for.
Joe Pyfer vs. Alen Amedovski
BATHROOM BREAK - Don't care how good of a prospect he is, no debuter will ever be hype enough to get us to watch Amedovski.
Tanner Boser vs. Rodrigo Nascimento
BATHROOM BREAK - Have you ever tried to run around in the shallow end of a pool? That's kind of what we're in for here.
Anthony Hernandez vs. Marc-Andre Barriault
WATCH - Barriault is one of those rare journeymen that channel so much kill or be killed energy that you end up rooting for them just to hang on in the UFC so that you can keep watching them coin flip KOs with looping bombs and their chin out in the air.
MMAalgo Bet - Anthony Hernandez 3.5u @ -175 (better than -250.4)
